Embroidery & Applique- Rajasthan

Artisans employed by this Rajasthan women’s cooperative expertly employ tanka embroidery and appliqué techniques, accentuating the textures, design, and colors of the stunning cotton and silk products we carry. Now over 625 artisans are part of the cooperative, each of whom is given an active role in decision making as member-owners. These women are organized into 48 working groups, each of which is managed by a leader who rotates every three years, giving women the opportunity to travel, get leadership experience, and gain a big-picture sense of cooperative operations.
