In honor of Father’s Day, we’re highlighting a father/daughter retail team who truly knows the power of community.
At Phoenix Books, Mike DeSanto and his daughter Katie DeSanto have worked together to build a store that represents their values — of justice, community, diversity, and sustainability.
They shared some reflections on their experience working together:
What has it been like working together as a family?
Katie: We share a deep commitment to making Phoenix Books the best it can be. With that commitment comes an innate trust in one another. I've learned a lot from my dad and as I've grown into my role at Phoenix Books, I continue to feel fortunate to have such a supportive work environment.
