Walk With Her Global Conference hosted by Thistle Farms

We were grateful to visit Nashville, Tennessee, from June 21–24, 2026, to be part of the Walk With Her Global Conference hosted by Thistle Farms — a gathering filled with old friends, new connections, meaningful conversations, and inspiring work from around the world.

At a time when the world can feel especially harsh, being surrounded by people working with such courage, generosity, and purpose reminds us that we are not alone. It is difficult not to leave feeling hopeful.

A special highlight was hearing keynote speaker Father Greg Boyle, founder of Homeboy Industries in Los Angeles. We had not known much about their remarkable work offering healing, employment, and second chances to people affected by gang involvement. His deeply human message reminded us to see the person before us not as an interruption, but as someone deserving dignity, compassion, and hope. We encourage you to learn more about their inspiring work.

We are deeply thankful to Thistle Farms for the extraordinary warmth and generosity shown throughout the conference and beyond. A special shout-out to Miranda Kelly and Jayce Arnette of the Global Shared Trade team, whose thoughtful support and commitment to Thistle Farms’ artisan partners around the world mean so much to us. We are grateful for the care they bring to these partnerships and for the many ways they help strengthen this global community.

Alongside the important conversations, there was also plenty of laughter and joy—including seeing Tasha Kennard, CEO of Thistle Farms, and Becca Stevens, founder of Thistle Farms, proudly sporting Sustainable Threads jewelry!

And, of course, no visit to Nashville would be complete without a walk through the lively honky-tonk district, taking in the music, color, and energy of the city.
We came home grateful for the friendships, partnerships, shared purpose, and the many people working to make the world a kinder and more hopeful place.
