Each towel is created through a combination of two ancient craft techniques: Ikat dyeing and hand weaving.

Artisans begin by preparing organic cotton yarns for the Ikat resist-dye process, where specific sections of the yarn are tightly bound to prevent them from absorbing dye. This creates the soft transitions of light and dark color that define Ikat’s signature look.

Once the dyeing is complete, the Ikat-treated yarns are woven on hand-operated looms, where artisans meticulously align the dyed threads to form subtle, intricate patterns. This labor-intensive process results in a textile with depth, character, and unmistakable handmade beauty.
