This towel is created using two of the oldest and most revered textile traditions: hand spinning and hand weaving.

Artisans begin by spinning cotton fibers by hand, creating handspun yarns with natural variation and depth. These handspun threads are then blended with conventional yarns, giving the towel its distinctive texture and strength.

The yarns are dyed using low-impact, azo-free dyes, then woven on hand-operated wooden looms. Here, artisans interlink vertical warp threads with horizontal weft threads—a deliberate, rhythmic process requiring meticulous planning and precise coordination. This method creates a durable, beautifully textured fabric that machines cannot replicate.
