This bag is created by a women-led cooperative in a drought-prone region of Western India, where textile craft provides essential livelihood opportunities. As member-owners of the enterprise, artisans gain financial independence, skill training, and long-term economic stability.

The process begins with hand block printing cotton fabric using azo-free dyes. Shamrock motifs are cut from soft cotton fabric and appliquéd by hand, then secured using tanka embroidery, a traditional straight-stitch technique that allows artisans to vary stitch length and spacing for texture and durability.

Fabrics are sourced from local artisan communities and non-profits whenever possible, and each bag is hand-sewn and finished with care—resulting in a functional accessory rooted in heritage craft.
