By purchasing this set, you're not only acquiring a unique way to display your favorite photos but also supporting the livelihoods and traditional craftsmanship of these skilled artisans.

A Fair Trade product. Handmade by artisans in India.

How It's Made

Artisans first blend scrap fabric with water until the mixture becomes a watery paste. To create the broad spectrum of colors, vibrant azo-free dyes are added at this stage. Artisans then pull wire mesh screens through tubs filled with the mixture, forming sheets. These wet sheets are skillfully transferred from the screen into stacks, each sheet separated with layers of fabric. Excess water is first removed using a hydraulic press, then individual sheets are hung to dry. Once fully dry, each sheet is pressed flat. Many are then embellished with beautiful handmade designs.

Natural Variations

Due to the handmade nature of our products and variations in device screens, you may find slight variations in color and/or craftsmanship. Even if from the same dye lot, slight variations in color may occur. This is not a defect, but a unique feature of handmade goods.
